Fútbol Takes Over State Street for a Free Community Celebration
Downtown Santa Barbara will become a destination for soccer, community and family fun when Fútbol on State Street arrives on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
Presented by Ventura Football Network in partnership with Downtown Santa Barbara, the free event will transform the 600 block of State Street into a lively street-soccer experience. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., young athletes, families, fans and community members are invited to enjoy youth competitions, all-ages pickup play and interactive activities in the heart of downtown.
The day’s scheduled youth sessions will give players in several age groups an opportunity to take the court:
U11: 10–10:50 a.m.
U13: 11–11:50 a.m.
U15: 12–12:50 p.m.
U17: 1–1:50 p.m.
All-ages open play: 2–4 p.m.
Players may register individually or as a complete team. With two street-football courts, youth competition and open-play sessions, the event is designed to welcome both experienced players and those who simply want to enjoy the game.
Fútbol on State Street is about more than competition. It is an opportunity to bring people together through the world’s game in an energetic, welcoming environment. Spectators can cheer on local players, explore the activities and community pop-ups, and experience State Street in an entirely new way.
Participation and admission are free. Advance registration is recommended, although walk-up registration will be available if space remains.
