The VFN Weekly 7v7 College ID Showcase is designed to give high school players an affordable opportunity to compete, gain match film, and demonstrate their ability in a competitive environment.

Unlike large showcase events where players may only touch the ball a few times, this format focuses on smaller rosters and small sided play to maximize involvement.

With fewer players on the field and limited roster sizes, each player has more opportunities to impact the game, make decisions, and showcase their technical ability.

Small sided matches create a faster game environment that highlights a player’s ability to perform in tight spaces, make quick decisions, and contribute on both sides of the ball.

The goal of the VFN Weekly 7v7 College ID Showcase is simple. Create a consistent and competitive platform where players can play, develop, and gain exposure without the high cost of traditional showcase events.

Players who participate in the VFN Weekly 7v7 College ID Showcase receive more than just a match. Each showcase is designed to provide a competitive playing environment along with valuable exposure and development opportunities.

Competitive Small Sided Matches

Players compete in fast paced 7v7 matches designed to maximize touches on the ball and involvement in the game.

Limited Roster Sizes

Teams are limited to 10 players to ensure meaningful playing time and opportunities to showcase ability.

Match Film

All matches are filmed by Ventura Football Network so players can access game footage for development and recruiting purposes.

Recruiting Exposure

Players have opportunities to gain exposure through Ventura Football Network’s recruiting partners and scouting network.

Competitive Playing Environment

Showcases bring together motivated players from across the area who are looking to compete, improve, and demonstrate their ability.

Optional Recruiting Support

Players may choose to add an optional recruiting education and evaluation package provided through Ventura Football Network’s recruiting partners.

This showcase is designed for high school players who want additional opportunities to compete, improve, and gain exposure.

The event is open to boys and girls graduating in the classes of 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029.

Ventura Football Network works with recruiting partners to help players gain additional exposure and better understand the college recruiting process.

Through partnerships with organizations such as College Player Pathway and AOS, players may have opportunities to receive recruiting guidance and connect with college programs.

Recruiting support may include:

• Recruiting education resources
• Player evaluation and feedback
• Guidance on building a recruiting profile
• Information about the college recruiting process

These resources are designed to help players better understand the pathway to college soccer and how to present themselves to college programs.

Matches are played in a 7v7 small sided format with limited roster sizes to ensure meaningful playing time.

Maximum 10 players per team
7 players on the field
Up to 3 substitutes

Match Structure

Two 20 minute halves
5 minute halftime
15 minute warm up period

Each match slot lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Small sided play increases touches on the ball and allows players to demonstrate their technical ability in a faster game environment.

Showcases take place every Wednesday between 3:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

To create balanced competition and targeted recruiting exposure, each week focuses on a specific graduating class.

Both boys and girls divisions will be included.

35 to 45 yards wide
55 to 65 yards long
