Welcoming Esteban Lopez to the VFN Team

Ventura Football Network is proud to announce a new collaboration that supports our next phase of growth and expansion.

We are excited to welcome Esteban Lopez to the VFN team as Director of Network Development, a volunteer leadership role focused on building relationships, expanding our club network, and helping connect communities into the broader VFN ecosystem.

This partnership reflects VFN’s continued commitment to collaboration, accessibility, and long term impact within the football community.

Why This Matters

As Ventura Football Network continues to grow, our focus remains clear: creating accessible pathways for players while building a collaborative football ecosystem that prioritizes opportunity over pay to play barriers.

Scaling that mission requires people who believe in it.

Esteban brings a strong background in outreach, relationship building, and marketing, along with academic experience in economics and finance. More importantly, he shares VFN’s belief that collaboration, not competition, is the key to creating sustainable change in the soccer landscape.

This partnership strengthens our ability to connect with clubs, coaches, organizers, and partners across the United States and internationally.

Esteban’s Role at VFN

As Director of Network Development, Esteban will support Ventura Football Network by:

  • Building relationships with grassroots clubs and organizations nationwide

  • Helping expand the VFN Club Network through collaboration and shared resources

  • Supporting outreach for showcases, tournaments, and community events

  • Assisting with partnership and sponsorship introductions

  • Supporting international outreach, particularly in Spanish speaking regions

His role is flexible, mission driven, and designed to grow alongside VFN as the organization scales.

Looking Ahead

This collaboration comes at a pivotal moment for Ventura Football Network.

With national showcase expansion, new data and technology partnerships, international player pathways, and the launch of San Buenaventura FC, our ecosystem continues to evolve. Bringing in leaders like Esteban allows us to grow responsibly while staying grounded in our mission and values.

We believe the strongest football communities are built together. Esteban’s role will help us strengthen connections across cities, clubs, and countries while keeping players at the center of everything we do.
