Ventura Football Network Launches “Futsal Fridays” Community Event Series

Ventura, CA – October 9, 2025

Ventura Football Network (VFN) is kicking off its first-ever Futsal Fridays event on October 10 at the Main Street Gym in Ventura. The new community futsal series is designed to bring players together for a night of fast-paced play, good vibes, and local connection — all while supporting VFN’s nonprofit mission to make football more accessible for everyone.

The event runs from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and is open to players ages 18+ (with 16–17-year-olds welcome with a parent present). The format features 5v5 futsal, 8-minute games, rolling subs, and unlimited play throughout the night. Tickets are $15 at the door, $12 online, and $10 early bird for the first 20 players.

Proceeds from Futsal Fridays directly support VFN’s free showcases, youth scholarships, and community programs, helping ensure that no player is left behind because of financial barriers.

“Futsal Fridays are about creating a space where players can compete, connect, and have fun — while giving back to the mission,” said Cameron DeJong, Founder of Ventura Football Network. “Every goal scored helps us continue providing opportunities for local athletes.”

The first 50 ticket holders will also be entered for a chance to win a SALT Athletic cleat bag, and players are encouraged to bring friends, show up solo, and enjoy an inclusive night of community futsal.
