Ventura Football Network Appoints Elliot Leonard as Director of Recruiting
Ventura Football Network is proud to announce the appointment of Elliot Leonard as Director of Recruiting, a key leadership role within the organization as it continues to scale nationally.
As VFN grows beyond a showcase model into a comprehensive player development and placement ecosystem, the need for clear recruiting leadership, trusted relationships, and accountable outcomes has never been greater. Elliot’s appointment reflects a strategic commitment to ensuring that players entering the VFN system are not only seen, but actively supported in identifying and securing their next opportunity.
Elliot brings more than 25 years of experience across collegiate coaching, player mentorship, and recruiting strategy. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with athletes, coaches, and decision-makers at multiple levels of the game, helping players navigate the increasingly complex landscape of college and club recruitment.
In his role as Director of Recruiting, Elliot will lead VFN’s player placement efforts, oversee college and club relationships, and guide the systems that support recruiting transparency and follow-through. His focus will be on building structure around the recruiting process so that showcases, evaluations, and connections translate into informed decisions and real outcomes for players.
Elliot will help shape long-term recruiting standards, support the expansion of VFN showcases into new markets, and ensure that recruiting remains aligned with VFN’s mission of accessibility, opportunity, and integrity.
At its core, Ventura Football Network exists to remove barriers and create pathways for players who are often overlooked or underserved by traditional pay-to-play systems. Strengthening recruiting leadership is a critical step in delivering on that mission at scale.
We’re excited to welcome Elliot into this role and look forward to the impact his leadership will have on our players, partners, and the broader football community.
