San Buenaventura FC Unveils Official Club Crest, Marking a New Era for Ventura Football
Ventura, CA — August 2025
San Buenaventura Football Club (SBVFC), Ventura County’s newest semi-professional team, has officially unveiled its crest — a bold symbol rooted in community, ambition, and purpose.
Founded in 2025 under the Ventura Football Network (VFN), SBVFC represents more than a team. It’s a movement to create real opportunities for local players, built from the ground up with the community at its core. Now, with the launch of its official club crest, that mission is stamped with lasting identity and vision.
Every Element Tells a Story
The crest was intentionally designed to reflect the identity of the region, the resilience of its people, and the dreams of its players. Every detail carries meaning:
The Mission Archway – Inspired by the historic San Buenaventura Mission, the archway symbolizes Ventura’s roots and serves as a gateway of opportunity for local athletes to rise to the next level.
The Bell – A call to unity and celebration. It represents the voice of the community and the shared moments that bring us together.
The Star – Guiding Ventura’s rising talent toward excellence. Placed at the foundation, it reflects both ambition and upward momentum.
The Cross – A nod to the heritage of Ventura, symbolizing strength, sacrifice, and shared perseverance.
The Circle – Classic roundel design representing unity, wholeness, and generations connected under one identity.
The Colors
Black – Strength. Resilience. Boldness.
White – Hope. Opportunity. A clean slate.
This is not just a badge. It’s the start of something greater — a club built to represent a community, provide pathways, and carry forward the values that make Ventura special.
“This crest reflects who we are and what we’re building,” said Cameron DeJong, Founder of Ventura Football Network. “Every line, every symbol — it all means something. This isn’t just about playing football. It’s about belonging, about pride, and about giving our players and our community something real to rally behind.”
What’s Next
SBVFC will continue building its roster, fundraising, and securing strategic partnerships with the goal of joining the UPSL in the coming months. The crest will be featured on official kits, merchandise, and all club materials moving forward — a visual representation of a club built by and for the community.
From the Mission City to the world — this is more than a badge.
It’s the start of something new.
It’s SBVFC.
