Keenan Gonzalez Commits to SBCC After Standout Showcase Performance

We’re proud to share that Keenan Gonzalez, a dynamic midfielder from our April 26 Showcase, has officially committed to Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) to continue his academic and athletic journey.

Keenan played in the featured match between the VFN Squad and JUCO SoCal Select, where his performance caught the attention of college coaches tuning in through our Hudl livestream. The SBCC staff, actively recruiting for the upcoming season, identified Keenan as a top target during their virtual scouting process — and the connection was made.

A Midfielder on the Rise

Currently playing for Sporting FC in the UPSL Premier Division, Keenan brings energy, technical skill, and tactical awareness to the pitch. His ability to control the tempo and create chances stood out on the showcase stage, where he competed alongside some of the top unsigned players in the region.

Now, he takes the next step with SBCC — a program known for developing talent and helping players advance to the next level.
