Introducing San Buenaventura FC: Ventura County’s New UPSL Team

June 22, 2025 – Ventura County, CA

We’re proud to announce the official launch of San Buenaventura FC (SBVFC) — Ventura County’s newest semi-professional team, founded in 2025 under the Ventura Football Network.

SBVFC will compete in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) and serve as a high-level platform for local players to compete, grow, and earn real opportunities at the next level — from college to professional football.

More Than a Club — It’s a Movement

San Buenaventura FC was built with a clear purpose:
To represent the grit, passion, and potential of our community.

This team is not about politics or pay-to-play. It’s about building a pathway. A place where overlooked talent can thrive. A place where work ethic matters more than connections.

Founded by players, coaches, and community members who believe in a different kind of football culture, SBVFC stands for:

  • Pride in where we come from

  • Purpose in how we train and compete

  • Performance that opens real doors

Squad Building Starts Now

We are currently assembling our first-ever squad — a team that will reflect the identity of Ventura County on and off the pitch.

Open tryouts will begin soon in Santa Paula, and we’re looking for players who want to be part of something bigger than just a roster. This is your chance to compete at a higher level, represent your community, and help write the first chapter of a new football legacy.

Whether you’re a player, supporter, or local business — San Buenaventura FC belongs to you.
This is your team. Your city. Your shot.

Let’s build something real.

— Ventura Football Network
