About Ventura Football Network
Building a community-driven football ecosystem that creates opportunity, visibility, and access for every player.
Our Mission
Ventura Football Network is a 501c3 nonprofit committed to making football accessible for all. We create free showcases, community programs, media coverage, recruiting support, and club partnerships to eliminate pay-to-play barriers and help players reach their full potential.
Football is the most global game in the world but opportunities shouldn’t depend on money.
A new model for football
We envision a future where every player, regardless of background or financial situation, has access to exposure, data, coaching, and pathways.
VFN is building a complete football ecosystem that supports players through every stage of their journey.
Our vision includes:
Free showcase events
Community-backed semi-pro football
Local club collaboration instead of competition
A recruiting pipeline open to everyone
Analytics and film for all players
City and school partnerships
Youth and indoor programs
A county-wide football identity
How It Started
Ventura Football Network was founded by Cameron DeJong, a Ventura County coach and former professional player who experienced firsthand how many talented athletes are overlooked simply because they can’t afford the pay-to-play system.
After years coaching in the community and working with players from all backgrounds, one thing became clear: Football needed a new pathway, one rooted in accessibility, opportunity, and community.
VFN began as a single showcase event. Today, it has grown into one of the most meaningful and fast-growing football movements in the region.
“We’re building the football system I wish I had growing up, one that’s open, supportive, and for everyone.”
What Makes VFN Different
Accessibility First
Our core principle is simple: if a player wants an opportunity, they should have it.
Community-Driven
We work with local clubs, cities, schools, and families to build a united football community.
Complete Pathway
From showcases to recruiting, media to analytics, club support to SBVFC — all connected.
A Complete Development Pathway
VFN connects programs, data, media, clubs, and recruiting into one system built to elevate players.
